Conversational AI & Consumer Apps

At Kara I built several generations of chatbot applications — including work on top of react-chatbot-kit — alongside a Nuxt consumer app and an admin panel.

Conversational UI has failure modes that classic forms don't: latency, partial answers, and recovering gracefully when the bot misunderstands. Getting the transcript, typing indicators and retry behaviour right matters more than the visual design.

This was my first sustained production work on conversational interfaces, well before the current LLM wave.
